The Innkeepers - Dick and Jill Beardsley
Innkeepers and owners of gorgeous Lake Bemidji Bed & Breakfast Dick and Jill Beardsley welcome you to their beautiful home and are honored to share with you their love for the Bemidji area.
Dick is a native Minnesotan and bleeds Minnesoooota! He has a passion for the outdoors and has been a fishing guide since the age of 12. Ever since he was a little boy he dreamed he would eventually live in Bemidji.
Dick also was an elite marathon runner and was fortunate enough to win the 1981 London Marathon and the 1981 and 1982 Grandma’s Marathon. In 1982 he came in second place at the Boston Marathon, losing by 1.6 seconds.
Dick is a Motivational/Inspirational Speaker, traveling worldwide to share his gift of making people laugh, cry and most importantly, think and appreciate life to the fullest, despite any ups and downs that may come along. When he's home, he's fishing or guiding, or running, or helping to operate the Inn.
Jill is a true Southern girl, having lived Austin, Texas, for most of her life. Jill worked in the corporate world her entire career and has always dreamed of having a bed and breakfast. Jill has come to love Minnesota, albeit a bit snowy and cold and has the Minnesota accent down to a T as well.
Jill is a gourmet breakfast chef and when she’s not making breakfast, baking is her passion. You will look forward to her delectable breakfasts and scrumptious baked treats! When not doing what she loves most, she enjoys running, playing with the dogs, volunteering or curling up with a good book.
